A while back, a friend asked me a question that many people wonder:
“Do loved ones watch over us from heaven?”
She wanted to know if her late grandfather was ever around her or trying to reach out. I asked to see a picture of him. Unbeknownst to her, I had already sensed the energy of an elderly man nearby. But once I saw the photo, I realized it wasn’t the same man I had been feeling earlier. She explained that she often asks her grandfather to send her a sign from the afterlife, but nothing ever seems to happen. That is—until a few days later, when she sent me this photo.

She laughed and assured me it wasn’t. This particular lamp had no timer, and the sudden flash of light had startled her.
As I stared at the photo, the energy came through strongly—it was her grandfather. He had finally found a way to reach her.

In this case, her grandfather had been nearby all along—but didn’t know how to make contact without scaring her. Once he realized she had a friend who was a spiritual medium, he saw his opportunity. He turned on the light, she captured the moment in a photo, and I received the message loud and clear.
She felt peace knowing he was around. We even brainstormed ways he could continue showing her signs when she needed comfort the most. Then, I had a vision: a man walking down a road, whistling.
I shared this with her, and she smiled.
“My grandpa used to whistle all the time,” she said.
That was it. A simple vision that made no sense to me turned out to be the perfect bridge between grandfather and granddaughter. I told her that whenever she hears someone whistling—whether it's on the street or in a TV show—that’s his way of saying:
“I’m here.”
