What Does Yellow Represent in a Dream

Transcendent Encounter: Witnessing Grandma's Spirit in a Yellow Bedroom

🌼 How Was Yellow Such a Prominent Color in My Dream?

A Psychic Medium’s Dream Interpretation and Spirit Communication Experience

I walked into a room. The walls were painted a warm, beautiful shade of yellow. There was a bed placed next to a window with sheer white curtains, flowing softly in the breeze. The energy was peaceful—calm and comforting.

As I looked around the room, I saw my grandmother, who passed away several years ago. She smiled warmly and gestured for me to watch what was about to unfold.

Her hands—exactly as I remembered them from our last visit in the physical world—brought a wave of familiarity and love.

When I turned back toward the bed, I saw her lying there, gazing peacefully out the window. I could feel how much she loved that view, and how deeply grateful she was that her bed had been placed right where it was.

Then, a baby crawled into the room. (I wasn’t sure if it was male or female, so "it" will have to do.) She looked at the child and smiled with such tenderness.

Next, a woman entered. My grandmother called her Dora—short for Doreen.

She gently asked Dora, “Just three more days, please.”
Dora smiled and replied, “Three days will be just fine.”

After those three days passed, my grandmother stood up from the bed, took Dora’s hand, and together they walked toward the most beautiful white light I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t see what was on the other side, but I could hear the cheers and celebration that awaited her.

I smiled… and woke up in a really good mood.

🌙 Side Note from a Psychic Medium

I always tell people: If you wake up in a good mood and have no idea why, it's often because you were visited by a loved one in your dreams.
It’s one of the more subtle, beautiful forms of spirit communication—and a comforting afterlife sign that you're never truly alone.

Why Did I Finally Tell My Mom?

I wanted to tell my mom about the dream right away. But I didn’t.

Not because I didn’t want to—it’s just that I knew it would be emotional. And if I’m being honest, I’m not great at handling emotions. So, I held onto it for a while.

My mom has always known that I have a psychic connection with her father (my grandfather), even though he passed away when I was 20.

We were close—but not in the spiritual sense. That’s why I was always surprised that he’s the easiest spirit to connect with. His messages are always crystal clear. No guesswork with Grandpa Arch.

(There’s a reason for that, which I’ll share in a future blog post—stay tuned!)

Eventually, Grandpa came to me in a dream and pretty much yelled at me for not telling my mom. I knew then that Grandma’s message wasn’t just for me—it was for her. So the next day, I picked up the phone and called my mom.

How to Tell a Loved One You Had a Dream About Someone Who Passed

Don’t beat around the bush. Speak clearly and confidently.

If you’ve been given a message from the spirit world, be just as confident in the delivery as you were in the receiving.

I told my mom I had something important to share. I explained that I’d had a dream about her mother a few months back.

I described the yellow room, unsure of its significance—but she immediately said, “Yellow was my mom’s favorite color.”

That’s why little details matter. What seems insignificant to you could be a deeply personal validation for someone else.

I told her how much Grandma loved her bed by the window.

She paused. Then said that she and her three sisters had debated where to place the hospice bed—and in the end, they chose to put it near the window.
(I had no idea about that.)

Then, I told her Grandma’s spirit guide—Dora—came to take her, but she asked for three extra days, which she was granted.

At this, my mom began to cry.

She told me she wasn’t able to fly from New York to North Carolina for three days after hearing the news.

It meant Grandma had waited for her—so they could say their final goodbyes in person, hand in hand.

She also shared something I never knew:
My Aunt Ginny was a twin, but the other baby didn’t survive.

One of the Tougher Messages to Deliver

This was one of the more emotional messages I’ve had to share—not because it was sad, but because I hate seeing my mom cry, even if they’re happy tears.

The dream brought her so much comfort—knowing that her mom’s transition wasn’t just peaceful, but full of love, intention, and the guiding presence of spirit.

She smiled when I told her Grandpa yelled at me for not telling her sooner.
She’s still amazed that he’s the one I connect with most clearly on a spiritual level.

So… What Does Yellow Represent in a Dream?

In dream interpretation, yellow often symbolizes warmth, clarity, joy, or divine guidance. But sometimes, it’s simply used by the spirit world to help validate a vision.

In this case, yellow was used to say:
“Yes, it’s me. This is real.”
