What Does Yellow Represent in a Dream

Transcendent Encounter: Witnessing Grandma's Spirit in a Yellow Bedroom

How was Yellow Such a Prominent Color in my Dream?

I walked into a room, the walls were painted a beautiful shade of yellow. There was a bed set up next to a window with these sheer white curtains that were flowing gracefully with every breeze. There was a tranquil feeling as I entered the room and as my eyes spanned around I saw my grandmother. She had passed away a few years prior. She smiled at me and indicated with her hand to watch the events about to unfold. I remember thinking how her hands were just as I remembered them from the last visit we had when she was alive. As I looked back over to the bed I saw my grandmother lying there, gazing out the window. I could feel how much she loved that window and was so grateful that the bed was placed where it was. A baby crawled into the room and she smiled as she gazed upon it. (I do not know if the baby was male or female so 'it' will have to suffice) Next, a women walked through the door. My grandmother called her Dora, short for Doreen. She asked Dora for just 3 more days. Dora smiled and told her 3 days will be just fine. After 3 days past my grandmother got out of bed and walked up to Dora. They grasped their hands together and walked, side by side, out the door and into the most beautiful white light I have ever seen. I could not see what was on the other side of that light, but then again I never can, but I could hear the cheers and celebration that was awaiting her. I smiled and woke up in a very good mood.

SIDE NOTE: I always tell people that when they wake up in a good mood and have no idea why, know it was because you had a visit from a loved one while you were seeping.

Why Did I Finally Tell My Mom?

I wanted to tell my mom the dream but I knew she would get emotional, and I'm not very good at dealing with emotions. So I held it in for quite some time.

Mom is well aware of the fact that her father and I talk on a regular basis. Yes, he is passed. Grandpa passed when I was 20 years old. We were close, but definitely not the spiritual side of the family. I was always surprised that he is the easiest to communicate with and messages are always crystal clear. No guess work with Grandpa Arch. (I do later find out why, but you have to wait for that post) He came to me in a dream and pretty much yelled at me for not telling my mom. Grandma gave me that message for a reason. The next day I called my mom.

How to tell family you had a dream about a passed love one.

Best not to beat around the bush. Also, always talk with confidence, if you are confident enough to relay the message then be confidant in your delivery.

So, I proceeded to tell my mom I had something to tell her. I told her I had a dream a few months ago about her mom. I told her about the yellow room, I wasn't sure why that was significant but I had to tell her and she told me yellow was her moms favorite color. This is why little details are important to share. They may seem insignificant to you but they solidify your vision to the other person. I told my mom how much grandma loved her bed by the window. She informed me that her and her 3 sisters were discussing where to place the hospice bed and the final decision was so she could look out of the window. (I didn't know any of that). I then told mom that grandmas spirit guide came for her but she asked for 3 extra days, which she was granted. At this my mother started to cry. Turns out my mom couldn't get a flight to North Carolina from New York for 3 days. This meant her mother waited for her, so they could say their final good byes in person, hand and hand. My mother also explained to me that my Aunt Ginny was a twin but she lost the other baby.

That was one of the tougher messages I had to give, simply because I don't like seeing/hearing my mom cry, even if they are not necessarily sad tears. It did give her an enormous amount of comfort to know her moms transition was not just an easy one, but one full of love from the living and the spirit world. She did get to smile when I told her grandpa yelled at me for not telling her sooner. She is also amazed he is the one I connect with the strongest on the spirit level.

So What Does Yellow represent in a Dream?

Sometimes it is simply used as a tool to help connect events or solidify details. Used simply to prove to another, Yes it is me.
